HAUL: Innisfree Sheet Masks from Innisfree World (Canadian Experience)

I managed to use the 10 + 10 sheet mask deal that was going on for about 2 weeks on innisfreeworld’s website.

They also had a 1+1 deal for face mists, so i grabbed the Jeju seawater lava mists as i have not tried anything from the lava seawater line yet. The scent is quite strong, a mix of lemon and orange (reminds me of the vitamin c tablets i used to chew on when i was younger).

In total i bought 80 masks and 2 mists.

I chose the ones without any alcohol – blackberry, acai berry, shea butter, pomegranate, cucumber, kiwi, rice. I placed the order on March 6th, on March 7th it was shipped out and it arrived on March 12th. Expedited shipping took only 5 days to Vancouver, Canada.. What!!!!

It was my first time ordering directly from their website and i was afraid of customs as i was charged by DHL/USPS before. Surprisingly, this was handed over by Canada Post and i did not have to pay any extra, which is a plus! It arrived safely to my doorstep.

The items were packed well into 2 smaller boxes, there were no damage to any of my items.

Overall, I am very happy with the service provided. The total amount i spent was exactly 60USD so i did not have to pay for shipping 😀

I have only tried rice and blackberry so far which are amazing, it contains a milky essence that left my skin smooth and soft. These sheet masks are really affordable and are better than higher end masks that i’ve tried before.

REVIEW: New Laneige Double Layering Oil

Yay for skincare! I have always been a huge fan of Laneige makeup and skincare products, when i saw this newly launched 2 in 1 serum and oil, i had to get my hands on it.

I have been using Hanyul’s Ja cho glow moist oil for about 6 months now, and i felt like i should try something new and revolutionary 😉

I got mine on Jolse. It’s currently USD28, pretty affordable considering a little goes a long way.

Let’s get onto the review!

Credits to Laneige.kr (look how glowy she looks *faints*)

“The double layering oil has two layers: hydro layer and oil layer.

Small hydro drops will be formed when the product is shaken, and moisture will be immediately absorbed into the skin.

There are Natural Ion Minerals extracted from the super food quinoa, which penetrates deep within the skin and restores the atrophied lubricating genes of dry skin.”

Directions:

Shake well for more than 10 times.

After applying toner, essence and lotion, dispense 4 to 5 drops onto your palm.

Warm the oil by rubbing both palms, and evenly massage the oil into your skin.

Press your skin with both palms for the product to be absorbed.

Ingredients list

I have been using this oil for about 3 weeks now.. and omg… I am in LOVE!!!!!! (I only use it at night in my evening skincare routine)

This does not leave a layer of oil/film on your face. I have tried several oils (Argan, Rosehip) that left a mask of oil on my skin and i hated that feeling. My skin absorbs this really fast and i’ve noticed a significant improvement on my pimple scarring. My dark spots have been reduced slightly around my chin area.

I did not change my skincare routine. Currently i’m using:

  • Cleansers: Banila Co. Sensitive Clean it zero & COSRX Salicylic Acid Foam Cleanser, used with Clarisonic
  • Toner: COSRX One Step Pimple Clear Pads
  • Essence: COSRX Snail Mucin 96
  • Oil: Laneige Double Layering Oil
  • Eye cream: Laneige Waterbank Eye Cream

I have gotten lesser breakouts on my T-zone, it might be the natural derived oils from this product? I realized that i do not need to layer skincare on as this provides enough hydration for me till the next morning.

My skin has gotten smoother and softer than what it used to be, i’m so amazed :O Hopefully my skin will turn out like Jun Ji Hyun’s in the future.. hehehe

It does contain alcohol but it did not break me out at all (i guess it’s a tiny percentage, considering i’m sensitive to alcohol). Has a floral scent – the typical Laneige one, not sure how to describe the smell.. Like fresh flowers with a hint of perfume? Haha 😛

Overall i highly recommend this double layering oil, for all skin types. If you’re really allergic to fragrances or any ingredients listed, i would not risk trying it. Nonetheless, it’s one of the best facial oils i’ve tried, even better than the Hanyul Ja Cho moist oil i’ve been using!

A reminder that i’m living in a cold climate right now, oh Canada. My skin is currently quite dry due to winter. I might try it in summer and give an update to see how it performs in humid weather.

A little goes a really long way for this product, it might last me about 6 months. I think it’s very affordable considering the price (USD28).

Rating: 5/5
